Due to Cheshy's hypnotic abilities being sourced by strobing light effects, it does tend to cause some severe migraines if you break the trance. Like a needle of tv static going right in your eye.

Cheshy's abilities are not magick, they are a combination of binaurel music and subliminal visual effect as well as technology. I used DC villains like Mad Hatter and Mad Mod as inspirations with their use of tech to create illusions or manipulate the mind.
