Been waiting for an HMRC PAYE refund for a year. Been told not to even chase it until 10th July 2026.
I wonder what would happen if I told them to wait 18 months for me to pay a tax bill?

How do men know if they've got the BRCA2 gene. Is it, by any chance, when they are diagnosed with prostate cancer too late?

We went to the Blitz Club exhibition at the Design Museum yesterday. They show the Not The Nine O' Clock News parody song "Nice Video, shame about the song" and honestly, Mel Smith made me howl with laughter.

I've been boring anybody who would listen that Salary Sacrifice was an obvious tax target. It's not employees that save the most, it is big companies. I should know, I did the calculations for a big retail company (so not even high paid staff) and they saved £8m a month.

Really enjoyed listening to Tim Berners-Lee on Desert Island Discs. His views on rage-baiting, data silos and Pinterest were fascinating. Plus I never knew he also invented Error 404: File not Found.

I am so sorry to read this. I read Rachel’s columns every week and knew they’d disappeared but didn’t know why.
Rachel Cooke was, among so many other things, a truly brilliant journalist: madly curious, fierce, funny, enthusiastic and all those things in person. She has left us far too young.

I love this.
Anyway, we need some joy, so here's the Egyptian foreign minister being given a Lego Pyramid by the Danish foreign minister.

Hello. I think i saw you at lunch at the restaurant on the lake with yurts and a burst of very loud karaoke. If it was you, hope you are enjoying the country as much as we have.

How are we meant to run our sweepstake on when Trump falls asleep if he isn’t visible to the TV cameras? #usopen

Ah, welcome to Edinburgh during the Festival. Americans bawling out wait staff because they’re sitting outside and it’s too hot.

I am at the @royalalberthall.bsky.social for BBC Proms Soul Revolution.
I have never heard anything as incredible as Reginald Mobley. You could have heard a pin drop during Were You There When They Crucified My Lord.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen such a shell shocked crowd as Number 1 court right now. Marin Cilic played a blinder.

I can't believe Adidas don't actually sell their delightful Wimbledon strawberry t-shirt that I've seen the players wearing.
