Another Good Listen ~ 2025
I've been to the Monterey Bay Aquarium in California, so I was definitely interested in listening to this story inspired by the aquarium's program that pairs orphaned pups with otters.

Another Good Listen ~ 2025
I've been to the Monterey Bay Aquarium in California, so I was definitely interested in listening to this story inspired by the aquarium's program that pairs orphaned pups with otters.

I headed to a nearby park with Christmas props to use at sunset and got some decent shots, but this one without the sunset is my fave from last night. I had put things on top of a tree stump, then thought to try an ornament in the snow-filled split in the side. Love it!

A pic from last December seems appropriate for today's frigid temps. Great Blue Herons tuck their heads into their feathers to conserve heat. The same is true of pulling one leg up to their body for warmth.

Last Friday the gulls were on the other side of the lake and I could barely see them. Tonight though, they were right by the beach, and at one point hundreds of them all took off.
