“How can we transfer our knowledge on natural #chemodiversity to crop plants?” was the topic of our workshop in Großbeeren last week. We are proud of our Young Investigators who presented their research. Especial big thanks to our guest speakers for their great talks and wonderful discussions!

Scientists from our institute and @uni-kiel.de led by @sunsicker.bsky.social show that endophytic fungi boost the chemical defenses of poplars by producing their own alkaloid to fend off herbivores. They alter insect communities and influence aphid-ant interactions.
