Stop obsessing over bedrooms and bathrooms. The real power plays—the ones that determine your wallet, your rights, and your future—are happening in the courtrooms and boardrooms. That's where we need our focus.

So I'm sitting alone in a small crowded airport lounge at a table for 4. Most tables were for four, although most travelers were alone or in pairs. As the place filled up travelers began to join the others at their tables, except mine.

Sometimes racism works in your favor.

Ah yes, better that a million Americans die from preventable conditions than risk one undocumented person getting free healthcare.

Nothing says 'pro-life' like slashing healthcare for the working poor.

Today we celebrate Juneteenth—the day enslaved people in Texas
learned they were free, 2.5 years after the Emancipation Proclamation.

Consider: supporting Black-owned businesses, learning about Black history, or donating to organizations fighting for racial justice.

As a first-generation student, there is so much that you don't know that it is hard to even ask questions. Then you waste so much time finding things out for yourself that you are often playing from behind. I am grateful that I found mentors to help me along the way. Good mentoring is essential.
First-generation chemistry students report having low expectations, finding it difficult to find guidance and feeling more isolated than their non-first-generation peers.
First-generation graduate chemists face challenges throughout their entire academic lifetime

When we take measures to address the racial bias that has allowed whites to enjoy privilege, they call our survival mechanisms 'racial bias.' Pure hypocrisy.

NSF’s grant cuts fall heaviest on scientists from underrepresented groups
Projects to broaden participation were cut disproportionately—and were often led by Black scientists, women, and those with disabilities

ATTENTION: NSF GRANT RECIPIENTS

We received a heads up from a trusted source that you should proactively download/print/screen shot any documentation on research.gov pertaining to your NSF awards, both those that are current and any that have closed in the last 5-6 years.

For all the Ravens fans who are mad that Saquon Barkley got MVP instead of Lamar Jackson, the difference is the Barkleys yardage to them to the championship. When it mattered the most Barkley came through and Jackson folded. And yes, I am a hater.
