Veiga and Cucurella both starting is a bit of a surprise, especially with the festive period ahead and our defensive depth already tested by injuries to Fofana and Badiashile. #CFC

Strong starting XI, perhaps too strong for Shamrock Rovers. Maresca could’ve included a couple more academy players, but I understand his choices—players like Casadei & KDB need minutes. Hopefully, we see early goals and get a chance to see some more academy talent on the pitch. #CFC
