It didn't work because it shouldn't have just been the Cheneys. It should have been a chorus that grew daily. But almost everyone else was too cowardly. That's not a fiasco for Harris, it's a fiasco for this country.
The Cheney strategy was an abject failure that added few if any votes to the Democratic total, alienated voters, and stole precious time from an agonizingly short campaign schedule.
