Early 80s Amazing Spider-Man doesn’t get talked about much, but it’s packed with interesting Spider-Man-plus-one pairings. Moon Knight here is a great example — pretty sure this is the first ASM crossover with this then new phenom.

From the 70s on, I don’t recall a ton of Kingpin Spider-Man covers which makes this Web of cover from Alex Saviuk stand out even more.

One of the strengths of Radioactive Spider-Gwen is its world-building through style. Rico Renzi’s color palette sets the tone, and Robbi Rodriguez’s angular linework gives this universe its own rhythm.

John Byrne, Chris Claremont, early American appearance of Captain Britain and an iconic Arcade cover (plus his 2nd appearance). Who says Marvel Team-Up isn’t worth collection?

Not a bird, plane, Superman or Santa Claus — it’s Mary Jane Watson! Annuals don’t count, but this comic was a great pickup just because this is a fantastic cover. John Romita’s inks are doing a lot of work here.

I think this story heats up more when Mister Hyde is added to the mix, but it’s still another fun Roger Stern “other people’s villains” story from that era.

For reasons that demonstrate my lack of intelligence, I missed the first few issues in this variant series so I know have to work my way backwards.

The Force Awakens came out 10 years ago today. The reactions to the Star Wars that followed has soured a lot of people on the entire franchise. It seemed worth revisiting the movie for its 10th anniversary to see how it holds up separate from its two sequels.

Not sure I truly ever cared about the Robot Master but there’s that other guy with the tootsie roll hair introduced in this issue that’s pretty interesting.
