i think people forget that art is a form of communication. like enjoying the process is absolutely a part of it, but ultimately art is created to communicate ideas and feelings to other people, so ofc people can feel let down/frustrated when their messages aren't heard or being received
I don’t think ppl understand the whole “who cares if nobody likes it! make content for yourself” is extremely dismissive

For those who don’t get why I’m mad:
If Blackfolk “crash out,” it’s read as criminal, dangerous, or diagnosable—rooted in psychiatric racism and hypercarceral logic.
For Whitefolk, crashing out doesn’t carry the same cultural weight of systemic pathologization.

Love that the High Court ruled that prescribing Palestine Action as a terrorist group was unlawful but as they also ruled the ban must remain in place until a future hearing, the BBC must remind its reader that expressing support for them will get you arrested.

I've been jonesing for a POC (or queer) protagonist in Silent Hill for absolutely forever!! Really hope it matters to the psychological landscape of it - Silent Hill is ripe for the stories of marginalized people (see: SHf), real oppressions being symbolically projected by the town 😙🤌

this is willful, blatant bigotry. you can't even claim this is in the interest of countering scams, because they're equating being in Gaza with being a spam bot
palestinian journalist posting on twitter that his bluesky account was immediately taken down purely because he was in gaza. all palestinian accounts are assumed to be spam.

BlueSky is one of the worst platforms I have ever dealt with. Within seconds of creating a second account, after my first one was shut down just two days after it was created, my account was closed again. This happened despite the fact that I hadn’t posted anything or followed anyone. I was only in the process of adding a profile photo, yet I received an email claiming that my account was “spam” and that it was “causing harm.” What kind of logic is this?
The painful truth is that the account was shut down the moment it became clear it was created from inside Gaza. It seems we are no longer allowed to write or speak about what is happening to us here. They are not afraid of content itself, but of our voices and the reality we carry with us.
Millions are spent to silence these voices and to erase the truth. I am exhausted by this platform and by how our photos and videos, which document real suffering, are treated as “violations of community standards,” as if pain itself has become a crime.
What is happening is not simple moderation or policy enforcement. It is an attempt to erase our existence and bury the truth. And honestly, this is shameful and unbearably painful.
