Melanie Watson appeared in four episodes of _Diff'rent Strokes_, then retired from acting. In 1996, she was part of the Olympic Torch Relay. She was my age, and she was likely the first positive portrayals of a person with disability that I saw on television. She sadly passed at 57 on December 26. 😞
