today we fired up the old Xerox Alto (the earliest computer with a graphical OS) and dumped a disk pack that we hadn't imaged before.

portrait-mode monitor that is blank, but the cursor is in the shape of a heart symbol. below the monitor is a "keyboard garage" with a keyboard pulled out in front of it. it's got no numeric keypad and looks a lot like typewriter keys.
