Not the most exciting to follow, but if you like woodworking and cats with a sprinkling of thoughts about other stuff, well…here ya go.
Protyping a sliding mechanism. This is part of a thing that (if it works) will have both sliding and pivoting features.

Sometimes inspiration for designs goes back decades. First pic is an end table I just finished. Black walnut with a hand-rubbed wax finish. Design is a mini version of a figured cherry table shown in the second pic. #endtable #credencetable #cherrytable #altar #churchfurniture #furniture

16 is beautiful. 17 is too, and maybe a message that is not as trendy as it should be.

“For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.”
‭‭John‬ ‭3‬:‭17‬ ‭

Lights are back on at Chapelwood. Seems like a restore theme has been going on lately. Tonight some beautiful cherry wood is being glued to make a new tabletop top for these antique legs.

Alice, a stray tuxedo kitten, only survived because of a friend who fostered her to survival. As a kitten, Pluto the tiger was living all alone under a mobile home near a gator-infested pond. Both now live the good life, spoiled to bits by a couple of empty nesters.

Here’s a piece I made that holds a ton of meaning. This urn is made from butternut with padauk inlay. Lots of symbolism using the wood grain and sapwood.

3-tiered bookcase I made a few years ago. My grandfather came up with the design back in the 50's.
