I see quite a few lovely Cardinals in my yard. I’m no expert but it sounds like these Cardinals are calling to each other, with one singing and others responding.

Visited an arboretum in Knoxville this summer and came across these really blue chairs amongst the greenery. I thought the combination just looks great.

It is starting to get cold around here and I miss being on a warm beach somewhere, enjoying the sun shining on my shoulders, the waves lapping at my feet and the sand swishing between my toes.

It is starting to get cold around here and I miss being on a warm beach somewhere, enjoying the sun shining on my shoulders, the waves lapping at my feet and the sand swishing between my toes.
I can watch the waves swirl and undulate in and out of rock crevices for hours, just seeing how they move and form shapes. When I think of movement in art, this is usually what I recall in my mind.

One of the items in my shop, journeyofimagination.bigcartel.com, has rotated out. The new item listed is the art totem “Crew”, a glossed art printed mounted on MDF, complete with a notch on the back for hanging on a simple nail.

Rosy Maple Moth. Over the last few years, I’ve been visited by strange beautiful moths. This first one visited recently this summer, a lovely furry pink and yellow. It looks like a cosplayer from a sci-fi convention.

I believe this is a male Purple Finch. He and his female have made a nest near the top of the pine tree he’s perching on. Try as I may, the tree is too thick to see the nest. I guess that is why they selected the tree.

During the covid shutdown in 2021, this fox was seen trotting by our yard and in the neighborhood frequently, probably because he thinks all the human are gone from planet earth. On this particular day, he decided to lounge around our yard and take a breather.
