As I just posted on Twitter, while this space is continuing on Twitter going forward (as well as Facebook and Instagram) to keep as wide an audience for interviews as possible, I personally will be here on BlueSky, and people are very much welcome to follow Chaos Gays here rather than the hellscape!

My own current creative project is papercutting for Lunar New Year! It's more a craft than anything, but I'm having fun (never done it before).

Since I've been asked a couple of times, it's ALWAYS okay to boost any requests I make for interviewees. At the moment there is plenty of space, and even if one day there isn't, I happily book in advance (I have a spreadsheet!) and never object to new creators to talk to.

Honestly I realise yesterday's post implies my inbox isn't always sparkly, which is more true than it should be! However, it's always sparkly when it has people in it! 👀

I do interviews with queer creators specifically because these are people whose lives I share, and a community I am openly and visibly part of and have been for a long time. I love this community and will continue to fight for us.

At the moment some of the people I'd LOVE to interview most are artists of varying kinds. As I'm getting back into art and craft things myself, I'd love to get more of this out there!

Happy New Year everyone! This month will be a bit of a period of change over at Chaos Gays. Through December I've been working on making in particular the social media presence of this space more professional, with shareable graphics and standardised information.

This time of year is always a bit chaotic, then in a couple of weeks it will be empty! I need to remind myself of that when I try and do EVERYTHING now in a panic and end up bored later.

Getting a bit better on top of all of my tasks, which means there should be some more content soon - even if it's just me writing about some fun things as well as the regular interviews.

I love the creators that talk to me BECAUSE they are creators. They are adding their work to this world, whatever it is. Everyone has their audience and I hope this space will see many of them one day, whether that audience is me or not. There's no 'one theme' this space has.

One of the most wonderful things about having a space like this is seeing creators and learning about things that AREN'T my niche, and so I'd always encourage creators to consider sharing their worlds in whatever way those come to them.
