Spending a lot of my free time in the water lately, it's become a bit of a respite from the world.

I'd say it's the isolation, but you're never really alone in the ocean and it isn't silent at all if you know what to listen for.

I'm the kind of girl who will read 'Into the Drowning Deep' by Mira Grant two weeks before going open water diving in the Indian Ocean.

Started writing a short story about a "late night" call-in radio show set in space. Sort of a Coast to Coast AM for space truckers and interstellar haulers vibe.

2000 words in and I kinda want to turn this into a podcast.. wish I knew more VO artists.

I do appreciate when music technology companies celebrate diverse creators. But I kinda hate when they act like it's a brand new thing. It makes it feel disingenuous.

I'm a pansexual Arab American goth girl, I've literally been doing this shit longer than most of these brands have existed.

As an aside, writers of bluesky... If you are an author of fiction, where are you publishing your vignettes, shorts and novellas? Asking for a me. 🤭

I'd like to know what platforms are good and which to avoid.

is #booksky a thing? #authors? Seems like it should be.

I've never been the sort of musician that just makes sound just to be heard. A listen means nothing if I haven't sung something worth paying attention to.

I know that's a bit of of a weird thing to hear in the age of playlists and thirty second attention spans.

So real talk, I've put together around 40 pieces of music since March. I quite like them all. But I still feel like I haven't quite captured what I want to say with any of them.

It would be easy enough to put together an album and call it a day. If I were just after airplay, that's what I'd do.

My Halloween costume was "Musician who didn't meet her previously announced October release deadline."

I'm pretty sure I won the costume contest.

I may not know you, I may not understand your circumstances.

But I do know one thing; you contribute to the diverse and beautiful tapestry that is human existence.

That is enough and you are appreciated, even if we've never directly spoken.

If you spend enough time with this game you could essentially make your own wallpaper collection or even machinima. It's got pretty extensive camera tools.

Hey darlings, I've created a new soundtrack mod for the pc game Dystopika, using a curated collection of my own ambient tracks. Over 40 minutes of music to enjoy in game.

A game I quite enjoy called Dystopika just expanded their mod support... soooo guess I gotta learn the modkit in order to add my most dystopian instrumental tracks to the game ^_^

I'll post a steam link once I have it all figured out.

I have something new coming in October, but not for Bandcamp Friday.

I'm still deciding what exactly I want to say with this next release, I'm sitting on a mountain of summer recordings ranging from highly structured Industrial Rock to something random bordering on Power Electronics.

Someone has a vested interest in keeping you outraged. They gleefully benefit from your nearly obsessive regurgitation of their chosen conflict.

And despite being fully aware of the leash by which you are restrained, you just can't help yourself...

Because you're so well trained.

When a system begins to fail due to corruption, the first step is to turn it off, let the fans spin down and the capacitors discharge, then try turning it back on.

If the system is unrecoverable, consider a full reformat or component replacement to resume normal operation.

Works for nations too.

I've been revisiting and probably escaping into a lot of early cyberpunk literature lately. Sometimes dark, dystopian, tech-noir stories give me more hope for the future of human progress than the real world does.

My track 'Aleph' appears on this compilation from last year. The whole thing is worth a listen if you're into music inspired by the works of William Gibson.
