FIDE made a blunder in their ruling, but looking at the skeets that have been posted, there is more to this than just transgender rights, but also the long debated womens titles and events in chess. Gender should not have a role in chess ability, but there is value in the women's titles and events.

I'm not sure what FIDE was thinking when they wrote this, but this is atrocious. Just as there are core values in chess, there are core values in ethics that should not be compromised.
