The #Cinemark secret movie today was #Eternity, a charming rom-com (remember those?) That mixes the out of reality organization concept of #Loki season 1, the TVA, with the "imagine a perfect world with the one you love" of Inception. I thought it was very nice, and introspective.

I thought for sure The Simpsons had.mpre.episodes than One Piece. I guess I was.wrong by a lot. Simpsons 800 will be in Feburary 2026. OP is already well past 1000.

I MISSED GODZILLA DAY! Ridiculous because Goji is my favorite franchise!

Finally saw #BlackPhone2 and there's no way the Grabber mask is not anymore iconic than Billy the Puppet, Jason's mask, Freddy's claw, or the Chucky doll.

If this is a duology (is that a word?) Its fantastic. Possibly the best. Was a bit light on horror but it was a longish movie too. 8.5/10

While I am not in imminent pain because of this #shutdown financially, its taking a mental toll as I continue to pull money oit of my savings account. Especially next week will be horrible for 77,000,000 people as SNAP disappears AND Health insurance premiums from the marketplace double/triple.
October 30, 2025 at 3:25 AM
Anyway, Shutdown day 27. Spirits are markedly muted. This is the first day back to work after missing a full paycheck.
-Rent is due at the end of this week.
-SNAP benefits end.
-Health insurance from the ACA set to triple.

No end in sight. This will easily beat the 2019 shutdown.

The Odyssey is going to be the greatest movie of all time.

Im not going to say its better than Paranormal Activity, but If this was one of the first horror movies I've seen I would rate it higher. Theres a lot of tropes it leans on that everyone has seen before. They are all mixed in so we kind of know the ending. I give it 6/10. Above average but not great

The Mystery Movie last night was Shely Oaks, a decent scary movie about a woman trying to find her sister who disappeared 12 years ago. It was fine, better than Slenderman but not as good as Paranormal Activity. The movie skews toward demonology, and is pretty straightforward.

#Cinemark mystery movie tonight! Im loving being surprised every few weeks, even if I end up not liking the movie I love that im seeing something completely unexpected

For those who are NOT Feds, make sure you check on your Fed friends. Either we are working for nothing or we are struggling with being on a forced vacation. While there may be advantages, it’s not all it’s cracked up to be.

Jared Leto still being "Jared Leto the computer program" same pitfalls that The Rock, Jack Black, and a few others who cannot disappear into a role. You have to put that aside. Its fine enough but wont leave you with any lingering tidbits except "when is Tron 4?"

Movies must be judged by Audio and visual capability as well as story and acting. In the Visual department, and somewhat sound (Trent Reznor is divisive in this respect-i lean toward support) the movie is beautiful. If you want to see it, see it in the biggest screen you can find. Just dont expect,

#Tron has always had a balancing act of style and substance. The premire series about technology has faltered in substance with ARES, using the Marvel Formula to use themes of AI and 3D Printing as vehicles for action but not any deep thought or consideration.

The movie has incredible style though.

One of the only R&B artists who I felt truly embraced the genre and didnt just make "commercial sex music". I need to listen to his albums again.

Fuck Cancer.

51 way too young, a thing we keep saying.
D’Angelo has passed away at the age of 51 following battle with pancreatic cancer.

Man I keep coming back to this: I've heard Now we are Free (gladiator) so many times the last 20 years but the way the lady sang it in this Hans Zimmer and Friends movie, as an older adult woman, with the extra bass in her voice, and on a Dolby 13 (theater) setup. That shook my soul. Profound.

Brainworm-controlled golem says circumcision causes autism

This is a real true thing in 2025 and not a joke

Every day coming in to work not getting good paid drops my motivation and morale just a bit more.

This weekend will be our last check (minus 3 days of pay). From then on out only God knows when these guys will pass a budget. This may go a while, so frivolous spending will have to drop completely.

So it seems the Intel Chipset I bought for my PC during Covid was 1 model away from being Windows 11 compatible. I will need a new PC.

In the meantime I have the new laptop which I'll just have to hook up my current peripherals to. Hm. Theres only 1 HDMI port though...

Imagine being the worst radio station in Houston who plays You Are Not Alone and fades the song out in the MIDDLE of MJs long note.

Dia-freaking-bolical.

Just suffered a mini-crashout and ruined my entire wow hardcore run. Now I have to go to work and miss the #Cinemark secret movie today as well. All during a government shutdown where im not even getting paid. Lol absurd. How stupid is this timeline. I want out for real.
