I went to a community poetry open mic event and actually SHARED SOMETHING! Ahhhh! As a shy Introvert, that was very difficult for me, but I am very glad and proud to have done that. I got outside my comfort zone, and the community is very awesome and supportive ❤️

It’s important to recognize comparison is a thief of joy but also compassion at times. Progress isn’t linear, and it can be easy to tie one’s value to linear expectations. Take life one day at a time and accept this flux as an integral part of growth while continuing to aspire. Give yourself grace.

Often times it is important to recognize that another persons harmful words and actions are actually a reflection of themself, and has no bearing on your self worth.
Their vitriol is theirs to live with. It can be healthier for one to disengage and spend time with those that treat us well. ☺️

Faith in oneself is not naive apathy or entitlement. It is the recognition that by utilizing your agency to pursue your aspirations, you give yourself the best chance at success. True faith also requires accepting chaos and continuing to shape your path within it.
