Bad Influence OC Guide Venris is a large continent with a mountain range spanning most of the it's northern border and west coast. The southern part of the continent is warmer with a desert giving way to a lush coast. The northern regions are more temperate with a temperate rain forest covering much of the northwest. The capitol is in the north east and most trade goes through the southern-most part of Sil'routte. There's a neighboring country to the north but the northern mountains are harsh and most don't bother crossing that way. No one race is held in higher or lower regard than any other. It is purely aesthetics. People will form their own prejudices but it's not a societal thing. All the races of Venris come in every gender. Healing magic exists but there are limits to what it can do. Disabilities and assistive devices also exist. None of these are hard and fast rules, just something to get you started. RACES- Linelin - Basically humans, any hair and eye color. They can have any human skin tone. The average Linelin is around 170 cm (5'7") Examples: Tassera, Havyn, Alder Lepus - Human-like people with rabbit ears. Ears can be any rabbit type and usually match their hair but not always. Ears, hair and eyes can be any color. Skin tones tend to be any human color, slight tone shifts are fine but avoid super saturated colors. Average height 175 cm (5' 9") Examples: Klies, Merrily Ki'tan - Human-like people with cat ears and tails. Can be any type of cat, hair color often matches ears/tail but not always. Any human skin tone. Ears/hair/tail can be any color. Average height 168 cm (5' 6") Examples: Indista, Caysa Elves - Humans with pointed ears, ears can come in a variety of lengths but will rarely extend past the back of the person's head. They have a slightly longer life span than Linelin but only by around ten years. Any human skin tone, plus cooler hues such as very dark blues or grays. Eye colors that don't naturally occur in (real world) humans are more common. Elves often go by their first names only except with close family and friends. Average height 178 cm (5' 10") Examples: Vale, Saryn, Lorelli Dwarves - Fairly typical fantasy dwarves. Any hair and eye color, any human skin tone plus earth tones. Dwarves tend to favor colder climates but are not exclusive to them. All dwarves can grow beards regardless of gender. Average height 122 cm (4') Examples: Haln Cabra - Shorter elves with horns. Cabra prefer warmer climates but are not exclusive to them. Their horns come in a wide variety of shapes and sizes that often match their skin tone but not always. Their eyes come in warm tones and hair comes in any color. Skin tones are any human tone, darker tones have a slight shine and lighter tones can appear somewhat transparent. Average height 165 cm (5'5") There are visuals examples of each race labeled

Idr how but I got sucked into the r/whatsthisbug subreddit, and I don't really get on there except to see those posts lol! That's how I found out about them and a few other lil critters. I've gotten pretty good at clocking some now 😌 but yeah they look funky but are beneficial! Super cool guys

Tricky thing about having a character with years of martial arts training is that I have to imagine what their reflexive stance would be when faced with such a powerful assertion of dominance
