Once the rain inland moves on, we should have a drier slot now coming in from the west, unless further showers develop in the Irish Sea. Time to walk the dog.

These ease later with a frost forming overnight away from the coast.

Not much on this weather-front now. It's certainly a lot less active and weaker than it could have been. A lot of the initial precipitation isn't even reaching the ground. #uksnowpoorshow

Around lunch we will see a short-lived band of heavy rain followed by similar weather to the morning.

☀️ Stunning out there at the moment, for most but not all. The sun feels warm. Roll on spring and summer. Make the most of today though, and especially the next few hours as you can already see the high cloud spilling in from the west ahead of rain, sleet and #snow tonight.

No snow out west.
Snow (5-10 cms) on the tops and some inland to lower-levels during the early hours.
Snow confined to the Pennines/NE Eng by dawn with less cold air coming in from the west as rain/sleet at lower-levels eases from the west. #uksnow
