I watched this brown bear with intrigue as the concentration was centered on looking for competing bears -- the primary goal was to find a great fishing hole, which was successful just a moment later.

She arose from a nap and began walking away from our small group, then suddenly, her body turned quickly in our direction displaying a spunky attitude.

Fresh from yesterday's work, another coastal brown bear encounter, deep in Alaska's wilderness. This young boar walked by in what I deem a "fly-by," then went about his way grazing on the sedge.

I enjoyed watching this black bear graze, meandering closer to me, while trying out my new 200-600mm lens. The bear appeared comfortable with my presence, and only a couple times glanced in my direction, being more concerned with other noises in the forest.
