im not sure if anyone relates to this, but i feel very out of place in OC artist spaces because my OCs are kinda unconventional? they just dont belong. they dont fit into YCHs and aren't really compatible with other peoples OCs for rp or anything. but me making more 'normal' OCs would be ingenuine.

I think that throughout art and design history ovals must have been a really premium shape because they’re much harder to construct than a circle or rectangle or polygon. But now that we have the computer, ovals are almost too easy to make, which has had a cheapening effect.

something thats helped me unlearn this habit is forcing myself to work in unconventional art programs where free movement isn't an option. MSPaint and the 3DS graffiti tool really limit your ability to zoom so you learn to do it with purpose. also its just fun hehee
