Call for Action 7 covers the importance of funding child initiatives. Adequate funding supports student programs and lets the flourish without fear of instability and to simply focus on their mission. Without financial support, great minds may lose out on great opportunities. 🌏❤️

We often think children are too young to be included in the decision-making process but the truth is, it is exactly their future we are making decisions about. Not including them in that process is denying that fact and losing a unique perspective of the matter. All voices are important!

Every knowledge bank holds immense values for all situations in life. Combating climate change is no different. When speaking on areas we do not understand well, we must respect those that do and the knowledge they volunteer. This is Call for Action 5 - amplify Indigenous knowledge.

In order to effectively combat climate change, we must understand it. What better way to do so than to study our environments directly? When we are outside learning, we grow our relationship with nature and we learn things we couldn't inside. The issues become clearer and so do the solutions! 🦋

Climate change is a complex issue that requires complex solutions. Children know this. Leaving them out of the conversation leaves them helpless, without the tools to provide remedies in their local areas. Call to Action #1 of the Global Children Manifesto is to make climate education a right.

Our time at the WCC has officially come to a close!💖🌍It's so incredible to be in a space with so many impassioned minds, with the goal to protect the Earth.
