Same, we moved over 2018ish. We had a teacher who had moved from banda machines to OHP to desktops to laptops and USB sticks. The move to the cloud finished him off. He was given special dispensation for a year to use a USB stick then he retired.

Great article. Really agree about lost learning time. It's what patents of the ones who end up being removed struggle to understand.

Ive run sessions on mindfulness before (optional attendance over a lunch time when i worked at school with an hours lunch). Raisins are not my go to. Got to be chocolate.

I too am calculated colouring tmrw to end my unit on rounding worth y8. And also doing @drbennison.bsky.social a level colouring with my y13s. My y12s are a week behind so we are doing logs.

I have it to. They're happy to talk to each other outside but as soon as they come in they're terrified to speak. Or even answer a question...

I remember teaching this when looking at probability years ago and a parent complained i was teaching them to gamble... now we hide it in ratio to fractions.
