🛒 Why are groceries cheaper in Poland?

Many EU countries use reduced VAT on food (5% in Poland, 4–7% elsewhere), making basics more affordable. Ukraine applies a 20% VAT to all food, raising prices. To lower VAT like the EU, Ukraine needs clearer rules and a consistent VAT chain first.

📉 Ukraine is again importing more electricity than exporting after 4 months of the opposite trend.

In Oct, imports hit 354 GWh (vs 140 in Sept) — highest this year.

Exports fell to 90 GWh (from 634 in Sept).
Ukraine pays for imports — this isn’t aid.
