Came out of Alien: Romulus yesterday with extremely mixed feelings. 24hrs later and I still can't decide what I think about it. Lots of it worked, lots of it didn't. Gonna take a few more views to come to any kind of conclusion, I think.

Enjoyment of FFVII Rebirth is being MASSIVELY tempered by the sheer abundance of minigames, and the fact that the majority of them are ball-shrivellingly difficult. They stop being fun when they almost all demand PERFECT play with absolutely zero room for error, Square. Fucking tone it down a bit.

Decided to finally upgrade Cyberpunk 2077 to the PS5 version after grinding my way through it on base PS4 at launch a few years back. Definitely nice playing it in much more stable form.

Lies of P can't decide if it wants to play like Sekiro or Bloodborne. It can't be both, and it's not very good at emulating either. Either give us a dodge that actually works, like Bloodborne, or make the deflect/attack mechanic actually fucking work like Sekiro.

Helpful thing I accidentally discovered 70-odd hours into Baldur's Gate 3: hold X on PS5 to 'search' an area, which brings up a list you can go down to systematically loot/check/pick up items in that area. Way easier than trying to stand in the exact right place to pick something off a full table!

I love that there's no 'questgiver' icons in Baldur's Gate - just talk to randos and some of them might have a job for you. Love it, way more immersive then checking off a bunch of map icons.

I've managed to ROYALLY fuck up the first big quest line in Baldur's Gate 3. Huge, complex systems of interweaving narratives are awesome in games, but never underestimate the potential for idiots like me to completely bork them up! 😂

Loving Baldur's Gate 3 so far! Made a high elf fighter, and quickly learnt the difference a single level up can make in a fight!

Posting up a collection of my Devil Tara design, didn't realize it's been more than ten years since she first appeared! I'm thinking of spinning her off to be her own character, a demon who bases her appearance off of Tara because she likes it. Maybe. We'll see! :)
