The Judaculla’s Kids Club took their first field trip on Oct. 23! Students explored scary Cherokee stories and places from Kituwah to Murphy, learning about The Uktena, Spear-Finger, and more, then illustrated their maps to show what they learned along the way.

The Center for Native Health helped launch Judaculla’s Kids, a new conservation and cultural club for 3rd–6th graders at New Kituwah Academy. The club’s name honors Judaculla’s teachings of balance, respect, reciprocity, and sustainability.

We had a wonderful time at our October Mothers Gathering! Cherokee Indian Hospital Dental Clinic shared about dental care during pregnancy and early childhood. Our teeth help us speak our language and enjoy traditional foods, so caring for them matters. Join us Nov. 18!

The recent Mothers Gathering was a time of connection, reflection & renewal. Participants shared the importance of self-care and the grounding benefits of walking barefoot, reminding each other to slow down and reconnect with the earth. The evening was filled with laughter, learning & encouragement

CNH and partners hosted the final Kuwohi Connection Days of the year. Community members gathered for a foggy sunrise celebration, then students arrived for a day of learning and hiking. Sgi to all who helped make this special event possible!
