A potential irreversible tragedy. Let your Senators know that this is not ok. @wyden.senate.gov and Jeff Merkley
The U.S. Senate is currently considering a budget reconciliation bill that quietly includes language that could devastate our public lands. It would:
- Make over 250 million acres of public land eligible for sale
- Mandate the sale of at least 2 million acres of Forest Service and BLM land

💔This is a huge loss for the scientific and medical community AND confirms the fears many of us have about what is happening to the NIH. @kevinh-phd.bsky.social is a true leader in nutrition and physiology research and an inspiration to many including me.
After 21 years at my dream job, I’m very sad to announce my early retirement from the National Institutes of Health. My life’s work has been to scientifically study how our food environment affects what we eat, and how what we eat affects our physiology.

We need more journalists and editors like Maria Ressa that have the fortitude and conviction to call out the lies and injustice in government.

In its simplest terms, the apparent demise of #USAID is the result of the world's richest man ending a program that helps millions of poor people. You don't need a Ph.D. in moral theology to see why this is an evil. You can just read Jesus's parables on the rich and the poor.

Elon Musk is on track to become the world’s first trillionaire. Imagine if his wealth was capped at $999M, and we taxed the rest (~$239B).

We could:

End homelessness: $20B

End hunger: $40B annually to 2030

Build homes: 710K new homes at $308K each

A trillion for one or a future for all?

The 1979 legal challenge to dumping garbage on Black Houston, 1990 Dumping in Dixie, and 1994 Clinton EJ Exec Order were not about Affirmative Action. Biden's 2023  EJ Exec. Order was not DEI. Equal access to clean air & water and safe environments to live are RIGHTS of all Americans, not DEI.
