Good to see, a couple of Shrill Carder Bees during a vegetation monitoring visit to Margam Landfill site (a capped landfill with an artificial dune system on top of it!), feeding on Yellow-rattle and Selfheal. Also recently hatched Ringed Plovers, scoring highly on the cuteness scale 😍.

KIDNEY VETCH a perennial of free draining areas. With dense clusters of yellow flowers, It's a great addition to gravel gardens, rockeries, green roofs and window boxes.

Great for pollinators and the foodplant of the Small Blue butterfly.

On Earth Day, it was great to create a multi-purpose refuge for wildlife, which included:- hedgehog home, bee hotel, reptile/amphibian/small mammal crevice chambers & a Wheatear nest box.

For Highgrove Aggragates in the fields above Cwmnant Lleici Quarry.

More of these to follow...

Using blast furnace slag at Festival Fields, Llanelli, to increase the diversity of native plants for nature conservation.

Due to the substrate being used, this area will also act as a carbon capture area.
