It’s been brutally cold this week with everyday in the single digits. Good thing I canbwear wool to keep me warm. Thank you sheep! They also don’t seem to mind the cold with all their wool!

We use local fiber to make bed pillows, pillow inserts and dog beds! We need more support to build products so farmers stop throwing their wool away.

Don’t throw away your pumpkins. Bring them to a local farm. Our sheep love them!

It snowed last night. Nothing says winter is coming like that first slushy, wet snow that stops all your winter prepping work. I thought this photo was so beautiful, we dyed yarn to match. It will be in the shop for Black Friday. #yarn #knitting #sheep

Jacob sheep can have two or four horns. If you are wondering what they do with them, the tall front horns come in handy during hay feeding season.

Our sheep love pears although they are hard to eat if you don’t have hands!

Such a nice day today. Temps in the 50’s here in upstate NY. I hung out my just washed Jacob wool yarn to dry on the fence. Small batch yarns need washing after they come back from the mill. Helps them puff up and removes any oils added during spinning.

Sometimes we have to hold up traffic to get to new pasture.

Most sheep farms in NYS are throwing their wool away. We are working to change that. A local mill has created a stuffing wool that we think beats polyester fill. Try it out in your crafting projects. Available on www.ceceswool.com. Wholesale inquiries welcome.
