...my relative mentioned the problem seemed to happen after switching ISP from Virgin to Toob.

A web search revealed an identical situation for another Toob user, and their post on Reddit gave the answer - go into network settings and reduce packet sizes (MTU) to 1280.

And problem solved. πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ

Helped a close relative with an IT issue today. They're an Apple Mac user, and I've always been Windows, so I had to learn Mac navigation as I went along.

Story was, Gmail suddenly stopped being able to add attachments to emails.

Tried flushing the cache, regenerating files etc, and meanwhile...

Antidepressants is the song I'm the most excited to see playedvon the upcoming tour. Adore it!

Absolutely, what with the dream team of the Doctor, Sarah and Harry. I was highly confused on discovering it was actually S13!

They were good - I only know one of their songs, which they did play, and played very well... and they had good humoured banter between the songs, which goes a long way and helps warm up the atmosphere.

Southampton, Guildhall Square, part of the city's "Summer Sessions" series of outdoor gigs. Had absolutely stunning weather for it - although China Crisis joked they were burning up on the stage during their support slot!

So I just saw this on the official Simple Minds Instagram... congratulations! I saw them play live for the first time this year. It was awesome!

Used to love Q - they gave one of my other fave bands, U2, a huge amount of coverage!

I turned 50 in September and had a lot on, so sadly, I couldn't make any of the @suedehq.bsky.social signings or South Bank takeover gigs. Listening along to this podcast is the next best thing... great cure for the FOMO!
New episode!

Having a listen. Curious about Trashy, early version of This Hollywood Life (a fave of mine, first song I saw live). Tried digging it up, and this is all I could find... sounds pretty close to the ultimate album version. Is there an earlier incarnation I've missed, though?

True. A triumphant comeback in the final act! I have a fond memory of listening to Barriers on my headphones, as my baby boy slept in his cot. David Bowie's Where Are We Now? came out around the same time, I think? Two amazing comebacks there. Glorious days.

Just listened to this - interesting choice of content, but the drama of the band kind of... petering out... really came across! You'd definitely re-enact this if you were making a Suede biopic! I love Suede, but I don't remember this performance... sad but true, and says a lot.

Excited for next ep.

Historical pic of the Hayling Billy, the train that used to run from Havant to Hayling Island. The trainline is now the Billy track country walkway, and the goods shed at the Hayling end is now the Station Theatre, where you can sometimes see me acting.

Judging by the "Remove this result" dialogue box, it doesn't have to be related to personal information, but maybe that was a key motivating factor in offering the feature.
