This what we’re up against. Our essential natural world (and us who wish to defend it) portrayed as traitors and blockers.

Oh MHCLG you’ve got this so wrong.

I’ll say it again NATURE IS NOT THE REASON FOR THE HOUSING CRISIS - fix what’s really wrong and stop blaming wildlife for your failures.

The planning and infrastructure bill being rammed through parliament is a full-spectrum assault on nature protection. Rushed out, without consultation or evidence, under an “urgent measures” procedure, usually reserved for defence or public health emergency.

I condemn and call out hatred, division, lies and misinformation. The far right protests are being fuelled by Reform messaging which is coming straight from the Trump playbook. Blaming people’s fears on “others” and blaming failures in the system on “nature”. It’s the same tactic.

This isn’t a spur-of-the-moment speech. He took the time to write this down, and is reading it, slowly and deliberately, off a prompter. It’s comprehensive and unsparing, and it’s more than most in positions of power and influence in America have been willing to say.
"In America, the richest men are taking satisfaction in abandoning the world's poorest children to sickness and death."

!! Now is the time to write to your MP if you haven’t already. The Planning Bill is deeply flawed and will lead to further damage to nature and won’t even speed up things for developers. Read my blog for the points to make.

Indeed we should
Labour apologists are at it again with their "baby steps" and "long game" BS. FFS! Basically, they're saying Remainers should suck up to Labour like Starmer does to Trump: pander to them, don't rock the boat, agree that only THEY know the way, and then maybe we'll get some crumbs from their table. 🙄
