Today, the products my employee unpacked and shelved for my store cost 10-20% more than they had in January. That money "collected" is from ME, a shopkeeper in a family-owned small business. Me, a veteran, Me, a senior citizen. Me, someone who can't afford to "eat" the tariffs.
If by tariffs are working you mean taxes on American consumers and businesses, then sure

Chasing perfection shouldn’t come at the cost of access. 1:1 care may be ideal, but for thousands with #LongCOVID, good care now is what’s urgently needed. Dr. Arseneau’s clinic works. Dismantling it helps no one. #LifeLineBC @brendavancouver.bsky.social @josieosborne.bsky.social

This clinic model got me back to work after Long COVID. Now the government is cutting access. That threatens care for rural, remote and homebound patients. Please take a minute to speak up and fill out the survey:

Just off topic, @thetyee.ca has been publishing honest and excellent journalism for years, and they deserve the support of Canadians. There are other independent outlets as well, and it's worth your time to find them and support them too. It's also critically important right now, more than ever.

(🚨) WAIT... WHAT??

Agents of Red Sea co-conspirators and Trump business partners MBS, MBZ, and el-Sisi were secretly in the White House as Trump agreed to go to war with their enemy Iran?

How is this not the big news right now? How is this not bigger than every other story major media is covering?

The US economy contracted in the beginning of the year at a much faster pace than previously reported, after new data factored in much weaker consumer spending — due in large part to Trump’s tariffs.

Denying the extreme danger of Covid-19 does not lessen the danger. Denial actually increases the danger.

The collective denial that currently prevails in regard to the extreme danger of uncontrolled Covid-19 constitutes a form of mass psychosis, in which most people have become willfully separated from the alarming truth of what is happening all around them.
