@therrc.bsky.social We supported the Stream Obstruction Guidlines as being compatible with the establishment on the Cache River NWR Arkansas. We did the evaluations in the 1980's. The Corps of Engineers determined the the hydrology was to difficult to evaluate on such exact levels.

I have no calms with the results of the election in NYC. We must realize along the lines of Woody Guthrie and Rainbow Stew there is no Free Lunch. Roads, schools health care, child care transportation, and the social safey net all have a cost. All are important.

At some point it will come time to pay the piper. The country cannot continue to lower taxes with the intent of spending more. It does not work in our homes and it cannot work in government. If we want things we have to find a way pay for them.

If they are going to have a vote around why can't Democrats call for eliminating tax cost on the rich to be removed. Call for the Alaska Medicade exemption be nation wide. Or is making the R's refuse to work with the D's. Is working for the people just lip service.

Again I am a moderate. When you are in the middle you can accept and support some of the right and some of the left. Whether you like it or not Americans are the middle. Did the election in NYC have national implications No. Pay attention to the we like FREE stuff until we have to pay for it.

At some point there must come a day of reckoning with the budget. The main costs are Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, Veterans Benifits, interest, and Defense. Trickle Down is a failure. Cut taxes how does this work. Either raise taxes or cut the Sacred Cows.

One of the main platforms that the of 2028 of the Democrat party has to be to pass a well written No Kings Bill. Run on the bill and make sure at the minimum a draft synopsis available for the public to read. Also, publicize and advertise. Demand that even if defeated it will be passed and signed.
