Federal investments in core systems like health care, food support, and child care are the foundation of the work that happens to allow families to afford basic needs. When those are taken away, the cost burden shifts from being part of that investment from the public to being individual costs.

A family’s life can change in an instant when connected to the resources they need when they need it. Access to child care allowed these parents to find and maintain critical employment because they had reliable child care for their two children.
