Thieves used a ladder to steal Empress Eugenie's crown from the Louvre. Would you believe the exact same thing happened in 1886 at Notre Dame?

Empress Eugenie's crown is still lost, but a second crown taken was recovered, repaired, and is on display in the Main Building: https://go.nd.edu/beb4e0

Honestly a great read from @timcarman.bsky.social with excellent data analysis. Thanks for sharing @barredindc.bsky.social
Excellent deep dive by Tim Carman and Warren Rojas into the impact on **all this** on DC restaurants this month.

contextualize the % opentable drops better than anyone I’ve seen (restaurant week in 2024 was Aug 12-18) but still shows the impact

For neighbors near the Penn/Potomac intersection wondering where the @bikeshare.bsky.social station went. As part of the intersection redesign construction it has moved down Potomac Avenue a bit (a little closer to Chamberlain)

Notre Dame’s national rankings on defense:

Pass Efficiency: 1st
Turnovers Gained: 1st
Yards Per Play: 4th
3rd Down %: 6th
Scoring: 3rd

Not too shabby.

Okay friends: Now that BlueSky no longer needs an invite to join, we hope we will see you on here more. We've been quiet because, honestly, it's a tall job to keep up with the socials and learn a whole new system. So tell your friends to follow us on here and let's get this particular party started!
