After losing her husband of over twenty years, Lisa has spent the past year adrift, struggling to piece together a life that feels whole. Just when she begins to believe happiness is out of reach, her world shifts with the arrival of a young man who rents a room from her.

T'was an interesting weekend. Had to get my first-ever MRI. Nothing scarier than checking if I have a herniated disc. Thankfully the answer is no, but unfortunately that prognosis doesn't make my neck feel any better 😵

When I finished the first draft of my WIP, I know folks recommend you take a break before editing.
Knowing myself, I knew that was going to be impossible, I'm too impatient.
However, I ... never got around to it? It just didn't happen. A week passed and I _forgot_ about the WIP. Surprising.

I just wrote the words "THE END" in my WIP. 65 000 words. I know this is just one step in the journey, but for someone whose childhood dream it has been to write a book, I do have to admit getting to this point for the first time has me a bit teary-eyed.

Getting older is waking up real sore because you drove for an extended period of time and then slept too long the next night.

I know there's no one easy answer, but what's an acceptable manuscript length for romance in the trad publishing world? I'd love to try that route, but my WIP is maybe coming a bit shorter than I expected, just shy of 65.000 words. How far off is this from being ok?

I’m really, really close to finishing my first-ever first draft. As I get closer to the end, I find two things happening:
1) I’m rushing to the end like there’s no tomorrow, causing me to just discard what I wrote in disgust.
2) My minds constantly jumping to ”what’s next?”
