Got word today that a friend at work lost their partner unexpectedly. I’m still reeling from the news. Is it too late to rollback this new year? 2026 has too many bugs in it. I don’t think it’s ready for production.

It’s 4pm. I’m still in pjs because I let myself sleep in till just before my first call and figured I’d change during a break. This is my first break today. (And not even, I just decided I can do some stuff late tonight.) but!!! We think we’re off the hook for the weekend so that’s exciting #work

How late can I send out new years cards? Cause it might not be until after the new year. The whole having to work weekends and through Christmas break has definitely impacted my ability to participate in holiday traditions this year.

Today’s win was meeting up with old coworkers and getting to catchup over a lazy boozy brunch. The cherry on top was that my friends mom sent her with a flan delivery for me because she remembered how much I loved her flan. To quote Bobby Nash, good flan is the bomb (and her mom’s is the best) ❤️

Today’s win was meeting up with old coworkers and getting to catchup over a lazy boozy brunch. The cherry on top was that my friends mom sent her with a flan delivery for me because she remembered how much I loved her flan. To quote Bobby Nash, good flan is the bomb (and her mom’s is the best) ❤️
My day started out not great as we’re currently working every day towards this go-live but then I got to spend time with friends and eat delicious food and @scribblinlenore.bsky.social’s cat deigned to let me pet her so honestly, ended up on top this Saturday after all

This weekend has been soul-crushing with tragedy but it was also my birthday weekend and I’m trying to remember the joy I had celebrating with friends. Sometimes it gets hard to see the light when there’s so much darkness but thank you to my friends who are the light in this scary world.

A thing I remember from my childhood in my Mumbai neighborhood was for New Years Eve celebrations, they would burn a figure of an old man in effigy as representative of the old year. 2025 definitely feels like a year we should kill with fire. Jesus.
