Breezy, light-hearted and well-written, Fearne Hill's TO BEGUILE A BANISHED LORD (Regency Rossingley #3) sees Rollo Duchamps-Avery - very much a chip off the old block - meeting his match in the unlikeliest of men. #mmromance #romancelandia #historicalromance
To Beguile a Banished Lord (Regency Rossingley #3) by Fearne Hill
Rollo Duchamps-Avery, the high-spirited second son of the eleventh Earl of Rossingley, is not in his father’s best books. After one misdemeanour too many, the earl ruins Rollo’s idyllic summer by packing him off to the wilds of rural Norfolk, arranging for him to stay with the Duke of Ashington’s loathsome brother. Lord Lyndon Fitzsimmons has an aversion to houseguests. Shunned by polite society for crimes far wickeder than anything Rollo could dream up, all Fitzsimmons wants is to drink himself into a stupor, tend his beloved hydrangeas, and take potshots at tin soldiers.

THE STAR by Beth Bolden - a best friend's brother/bi-awakening romance with some good plot points and great narration by Darcy Stark, but it's too long and there just isn't enough plot to justify its14 hour run time. #mmromance #romancelandia #audiobook

THE DRAMATIC LIFE OF JONAH PENROSE is a promising début from @robyngreen.bsky.social - I enjoyed it despite a few pacing & characterisation issues. A bit annoyed to discover that a book by a British author set in the UK is only available here in pbk as a US import though! #romancelandia #mmromance

Nazri Noor's WIZARDS & WEAVERS, is a bit of a mixed bag; the narration by Jon Vertullo is outstanding, the worldbuilding is excellent and the characters are engaging, but the story didn't work well for me; the pacing is slow and it took me ages to get into it. #romancelandia #audiobook #mmromance

King of Lies (Mayhem Manuscripts Season One: 1nf3ction) by H.L. Day
Two headstrong men. One broken world. And a connection that could destroy—or redeem—them both. They say the world was better before the Red Rain―before the skies grew toxic and the virus transformed people into mindless savages. I disagree. There’s beauty in the wreckage, if you know where to look. Desperation is profitable. Hope is a commodity. Dreams? I sell them daily.

Against the Odds (The Games We Play) by Kaje Harper
Callum I've wanted to play pro hockey since I was nine years old. That's when my grandfather looked at an angry, hurting, orphaned kid and said, "A sport might be a good way for you to work some of that out." Sadly, in the Under-11s division, punching people wasn't part of the game, which is how I ended up a goalie, to keep me out of temptation's way.

My pick for October's #tbrchallenge "Here There Be Monsters" prompt - THE LIGHTHOUSE KEEPER by Liv Rancourt. A strong premise is tanked by poor execution - the characterisation is thin and frankly, the plot is a mess. Don't judge this one by the lovely cover! #mmromance #romancelandia #queerbooksky
TBR Challenge: The Lighthouse Keeper by Liv Rancourt

THE LIBRARIANS - a contemporary mystery from Sherry Thomas - is one of those books that's more "head" than "heart". I appreciated the author's skill, but the impression I came away with was of a clever, well-plotted but rather cerebral book.
The Librarians by Sherry Thomas
Sometimes a workplace isn’t just a workplace but a place of safety, understanding, and acceptance. And sometimes murder threatens the sanctity of that beloved refuge... In the leafy suburbs of Austin, Texas, a small branch library welcomes the public every day of the week. But the patrons who love the helpful, unobtrusive staff and leave rave reviews on Yelp don’t always realize that their librarians are human, too.
