Last week, board member Morgan attended the ribbon cutting for a treatment system that removes contaminants from groundwater in Baldwin Park, CA. The UVFlex Water Treatment System was funded partially by the State Water Board.

In June 2025, the residents of Colfax joined the 98% of Californians who have access to safe drinking water.
Since 2019 when SAFER began, the State Water Board has provided $1.6 B to disadvantaged communities for drinking water projects.

To keep toxins from burned properties out of streets and waterways, teams from the CA Conservation Corps, @caloes.bsky.social and the State Water Resources Control Board installed green fiber-filled tubes in a town burned in September’s Lighting Complex Fire. 🧑‍🔧💧

💦 Congrats to Union Sanitary District , winner of the 2025 Dr. Teng-chung Wu Water Board Pollution Prevention Award for their School Outreach Program, which inspired 52,000+ students to keep pollution, like fats, oils and grease, out of our water systems, while promoting careers in STEM.

Vice-Chair D’Adamo recently attended the ribbon cutting of the @purewatermry expansion that will build more drought-proof supplies. The SWRCB provided $130M for this project w/grants & low interest loans through our Water Recycling Fund Program

Last Friday, we had the honor of joining the 58th Annual Native American Day, a statewide observance that honors the First People of California.

The Water Boards coordinated the Cultural Pavillion with 20 Cultural Practitioners sharing their knowledge to all attendees.

the City of San Mateo, City of Foster, and the
Estero Municipal Improvement District to celebrate the upgrade of the San Mateo Wastewater Treatment Plant.

The Water Boards provided over $137M in low-interest loans.

Yesterday, the State Water Board unanimously approved the return of the Kern County Subbasin to Department of Water Resources oversight under SGMA, thereby avoiding probationary status, as the basin moves towards groundwater sustainability.
