Change of profile name due to my change in circumstances. Chosen what my eldest grandson calls me. He always makes me smile.
So in today’s #news from my house, I tried to set my #kitchen on #fire. Bread got stuck in toaster & burnt. At least the #smokealarm works! Had doors open but it flipping smells in here now! Can I scream yet?

Car is sorted. Mechanic and office manager gave me a good talking to that my car is in excellent shape overall with low mileage for its age & that I have nothing to worry about. Feel relieved tonight.

Not everything goes right. After a busy week getting lots done, yesterday was a down day. I just couldn’t pull myself together & slept most of the day. Today, I’ve got a little bit done but not much. Sometimes life is just like that. Sometimes my body says, ‘No.’ 😞

Well my porch is enclosed with new clear tarps for the winter plus lounge window and the porch are decorated for #Christmas. I’m intentionally earlier than usual this year so I can try to enjoy #December!

Nothing I can do about outside so instead, I’ve roasted a butternut squash in air fryer then added it to carrot & tomato soup ingredients in soup machine. Both slow cookers on top with a shepherd’s pie base in one & a pasta base in the other. Kitchen is smelling as though I’m a cook! 🤣 #StormClaudia

2 side tarps ripped on my porch. Thanks a lot #StormClaudia. I didn’t want to replace those until next Spring. Oh well, replacements ordered and another job outside to look forward to on Monday. I’ll get Christmas decorations up in porch at the same time at least.

Had a day in the garden finishing off jobs for the winter. This is the latest in a year that I’ve ever done that!

Working through list. Halloween things put away & poppy wreath on door. I’ve also cleaned kitchen wall, taped woodwork and emulsions walls in my kitchen. All this on next to no sleep. May have a nap now though as I’m shattered.

Almost completed a vast list of Autumn jobs so I’ve made Nov/Remembrance/Dec/Christmas list & broke it down into week by week. I’ve made a new poppy wreath for my door & will put giant poppy in my window tomorrow. Poppy bunting is up above fire. All crocheted of course. 😁

Remarkably, it did brighten up a bit this afternoon so DD and I were able to get out and chop a tree up. I feel like I had an ‘arm day’ now though and my hands keep shaking. It’s raining again now but a job well done for us. #StormBenjamin

A lovely afternoon digging in the garden and planting plants. Day off from it tomorrow as #StormBenjamin is forecast. How dare they name a storm after my eldest grandson. He is my Ray of Sunshine, not a storm.

I know it was the US GP, BUT I hated all the extra US crap. (As if Danica Patrick isn’t enough). One interviewer was embarrassing sending Kimi away from Max. Grid gigs? Ffs I want to watch #F1. It’s bad enough that we’ve had raves infiltrating race weekends the last few years.

Another 2 hours doing gardening jobs today, weeding, digging, planting, pruning, tidying and then put bark down. Very autumnal day today but still got this done. Tired now.
