Super interesting Journalism panel on the second day of #Etmaal2025. Nadia Mentzel talking about what it means to be 'informed' and the lack of shared news experiences on social media for youth. Raised some important questions about democratic norms and expectations from youth and media.

Stable communication infrastructures are an integral part of democratic governance! They need to be secured as such.

In today’s POLITIKEN, @fiwa.dk & @claesdevreese.bsky.social argue that Danish politicians must prepare for “digital chaos.” Social media giants control communication, but authorities need secure, distributed alternatives to protect democracy.

Today’s one for the history books: Mastodon is becoming an independent non-profit, and Bluesky is supporting #FreeOurFeeds taking their AT Protocol in the same direction.
