Professional watercolor artist, author, juror, instructor. I just want to paint, whether it's in the studio or en plein air. How I love when colors mix on paper in miraculous ways.
I’m in New York City attending the opening of the AWS Annual International Exhibition! And my work is in it!

I cannot express how much I'm looking forward to this plein air event along the Bay of Fundy in Canada. It's a very special place. Can't wait, my Canadian friends!

This painting, Up Is Down and Down Is Up, is currently in the Georgia Watercolor Society’s annual National Exhibition at the Morris Museum of Art in Augusta, GA.

It’s also on p 64 of @FineArtConnoissierMagazine.

Two honors in one month for one painting makes me smile.

I’ve been working on a drawing for many days and I’m just about ready to start painting. “Tracy’s Studio” was a few doors down from mine at Chateau Orquevaux. It was that crazy light that enticed me at first but all those beautiful objects seen in an artist studio make my heart flutter.

We received ANOTHER big snow here in Central Virginia on Tuesday. I set up my paints in my family room, looked out the window and saw this.... #watercolorpainter #watercolorartist #transparentwatercolorpainter

"Freefalling" is on its way to the #americanwatercolorsociety International Exhibition at the #salmagundiclub in New York City. I spent two hours yesterday carefully packing, reading the paperwork over and over again, filling out forms and printing shipping labels. I'm so excited.
