I grew up in a place that got an occasional grudging dusting of snow. I can't get over the magnificent remaking of snow.

I wanted to tell everyone about Richard Smith, the poet who interviewed me for the conversation on The Missouri Review website.
He's written two extraordinary books of poetry. His new book, Beyond Where Words Can Go, written entirely in sonnets, will be published by Bauhan in spring 2026.
