And even when it comes to friends/family who are aware of its problems, when we get so aggressive it'll make them scared to talk to us about it. Death/suicide-by-chatbot cases are a real thing. We gotta have empathy even for ai users, and save our aggression for the companies forcing this all on us

people double down when it's made a personal attack on them! better to inform than to belittle. we have to keep in mind there are people who are not in our circles. most of the mainstream has no idea just how bad gen AI is because of media suppression!

Hot take(?) and coming from someone like me so adamantly against the technology: If someone in your life is using GenAI, please do not use shame and aggression on them. This only drives people further into their holes. Beginning with empathetic conversations goes a lot further than you think

Forgot that I was going to say @wrldendcllpse.bsky.social is usually looking for releases and is a great space for "the weird side of vaporwave", I've put out some stuff with them before and I'm always happy to work with them!
For financial reasons, BCT may have to move to being a mostly digital label, with physical releases being made at my own discretion (hopefully I keep nepotism in check) given that I want to put out higher quality designs. I'm just cautious about anyone feeling betrayed by this change

this is why i have said multiple time that streaming financially benefits artists as much as piracy does. because unless millions of people stream one song it won't even pay rent. meanwhile it takes a couple thousand bandcamp or itunes or qobuz song purchases to pay for rent. hundreds for an album

pirate all the music you want. all of it. no matter how much. set aside each month a spotify subscription's worth of money and use that to buy something off of bandcamp or itunes.
