Incidentally, this is why people who are ot12 and ot11 vibe so weird, because the ex-3 have not ONCE said they are still exo or would like to be.
Also, Xing was effectively erased by sm for years and he was still exo the entire time. sm has never had the authority to say who's exo and who's not, only the members do. And if there's a will, there will be a way.
