Enjoying the spoils of the summer garden on the coldest night of the year last night. Sometimes the simplest things can be so restoring. For those of us who empathy runs deep, we are in for some cold times ahead. Let’s remember to find moments of warmth, connection, and community to get us through.

Putting the finishing touches on the background of this one tonight.

Wrapping up the background on this painting this week. You can see the areas where I e added a second layer (reflective) vs the less reflective areas I’ll be working one more layer over. Oils can be really tricky when working in layers.

Planning for next year’s garden, putting leaf mulch over all the beds, and planting garlic this week. This year’s garden treated me well.
