Public shout-out from our Chief People Officer for handling the issue with "exceptional resilience and initiative" while also welcoming me to the team. WHERE AM I?!
I have worked myself into some serious anxiety about something that is ultimately Not A Big Deal. My coworkers have reassured me no one but me is upset, they are impressed I took on something so big, and I am deserving of congratulations for doing something new for the first time. Where am I?

Second to last week of the CSA for this year, featuring a very suggestive potato

Serious ego boost today from a few mid-twenties coworkers who were floored when I told them I'm 12 years older than them, not three or four. Drink water, don't smoke, don't drink alcohol in excess, wear sunscreen, moisturizer if you have the energy for it

Week 21: Back to greens

I started a new job today. Not only was I welcomed with cards and flowers but a large number of folks I had not met yet greeted me by name when introducing themselves. It's super refreshing to see people first work culture in action not just words

On round two of wasp treatment because apparently there are regionally specific ones? And also after two weeks of no moths this week I saw at least six.
Revisiting this because I pulled out a favorite hoodie this morning and almost lost my mind seeing evidence of caterpillar sheds. This at least gives me an excuse to purge clothes I haven't worn in years
Help I've reached the part of the Internet where I'm considering buying microscopic parasitic wasps to solve the clothes moths problem

Our backyard neighbors have built a hutch. Unclear if it is for rabbits or chickens. It's technically illegal to keep chickens in our township (idc) but I am concerned about our feral cats, foxes, hawks, and occasional lost bear and whatever it is will be living in the hutch.

I need someone to explain to me why I walked into a Burlington Coat Factory and man in a kevlar vest had to open a belt stanchion to let me in.

🧵After several gaslighty conversations about how RTO without salary adjustment causes me to lose money and is effectively a demotion, I quit my job yesterday.

CSA Week 18: @geoffaghost.cardiosoles.com put away the CSA before I got home (thank you) but it involved a bunch of leafy greens, some apples, onions, potatoes, and the last of summer's tomatoes this time

This weekend I got to explain to my hair stylist that I've been reading lots of horror lately, a stand out being @chucktingle.bsky.social 's Lucky Day, which of course led to me having to explain that Chuck is also the author of classic gems like Space Raptor Butt Invasion. Perfect conversation.
dang LUCKY DAY is on the usa today bestseller list for its 4TH WEEK IN A ROW. FIND OUT WHAT ALL THE FUSS IS ABOUT HERE us.macmillan.com/books/978125...

Planted a mess of yarrow to mark the end of Summer and am hoping beyond hope that the coming of Autumn yields the death of the extraordinary job related stress I've been having this last five weeks. Crossing my everything for good news at the end of the week ✨🤞🏻✨

256 days into the year and I have read 100 books. While this is a good thing it is also certainly a coping mechanism to deal with the horrors.
