A study in the Great Basin, USA, shows wildfires have grown larger and more frequent from 1991-2020 vs. 1961-1990 due to climate change. Nonnative grasses and human-caused ignitions have driven this increase, highlighting the need for focused education and prevention to protect plant communities. 🔥🪴

Look at that big ole transparent head!!
The glass amphipod Cystisoma is transparent because in the open ocean there is nowhere to hide, and its round head is completely covered in giant eyes. So when you're swimming far from shore just remember: you can't see them, but they can see you.
