Mike Piazza has spent the past few years trying to rebuild the foundation of baseball in Italy. What does a challenge that imposing involve for the Hall of Fame catcher? I spoke with him to find out:

Piazza dreaming big while reshaping baseball’s foundation in Italy
“It all starts with a dream.” Ask Mike Piazza about his goals for baseball in Italy and he’ll likely find his way back to this thought. The Hall of Fame catcher has already made multiple noteworthy co...

My guess for NL Rookie of the Year: The run Cade Horton put together from July 20 on (7 ER over 61.1 innings) gives him enough fuel to bring the award home.

I can't even refer to AL ROY as a guess. That thing was Nick Kurtz's to lose the second he slugged four dingers in a single game.

Four Brewers showed up on the NL Rookie of the Year final results. Their top prospect, Jesús Made, is viewed as the No. 4 prospect in baseball by MLB Pipeline.

A decent night for Milwaukee's farm system.

Colson Montgomery finished fifth in AL Rookie of the Year voting. It may not seem like much, but considering the White Sox sent him to Arizona in the first half of the season because they felt he needed a mental reset, that result is pretty impressive.

Emmanuel Clase was under contract for $4.9 million this season. He threw 746 pitches.

That's a rate of $6,568 per pitch.

He allegedly got paid $5,000 for throwing a rigged pitch.

It's extremely difficult to figure out where the reward merited the risk of what he's accused of doing.

Emmanuel Clase was due to make $6 million in 2026. He had club options in 2027 and 2028, both worth $10 million.

He’s allegedly thrown his career away and is now facing prison time just to make an extra $12,000.

Well, the Guardians finally got an update on Emmanuel Clase and Luis Ortiz…

There remain many people in Cleveland who have absolutely no idea what Paul DePodesta does for the Browns and will likely not even notice he left

Per Major League Baseball, Game 7 of the World Series averaged 51.0 million combined viewers across the U.S., Canada and Japan. It was the most-watched MLB game in 34 years, since Game 7 of the 1991 World Series.

OK but seriously, the idea of Andrés Giménez not winning another Gold Glove Award only seems feasible if his arm fell off in May or something

Predicting that Pete Crow-Armstrong would take home a Gold Glove this year was a scorching hot take similar to "I bet the day tomorrow ends in Y"

Tyler Soderstrom didn't net a Gold Glove Award, but can we talk about his absolutely insane defensive timeline?

- Drafted as a catcher
- Transitioned to first base last year
- Transitioned to outfield for the very first time of his professional career on April 23
- Nominated for Gold Glove in LF

Steven Kwan: Four seasons, four Gold Gloves

There's obviously still work to do with Ke'Bryan Hayes' bat, but for a Reds team that finished last year with the third-most errors in MLB at third base, securing that spot with a now two-time Gold Glover has to feel like a win
November 3, 2025 at 1:51 AM
Mookie Betts may not have won a Gold Glove this year, but him being nominated for one at shortstop after his first full season at that spot is pretty absurd.

Have to feel for Vladimir Guerrero Jr. He had an unbelieveable postseason, was visibly invested in doing everything he possibly could to bring the Blue Jays a title. This one's obviously going to sting for quite some time.

Will Smith and the Blue Jays all react to that bonkers final out of the ninth. For reasons obvious, the reactions are quite the opposite.

The Dodgers' rotation was their biggest x-factor this postseason so it only makes sense that literally every member of it gets to pitch in Game 7
November 2, 2025 at 3:32 AM
The beauty of the postseason. The Dodgers' dugout absolutely erupts after Miguel Rojas homers to tie it while everyone in the stadium around them is stunned and motionless.
